Ranveer Singh Teased Karan Johar Over The Verdict Of SC On Section 377

Ranveer Singh is at his wittiest these days and is leaving no stone making sarcastic comments in any ongoing event. This time, director-producer Karan Johar is at his target who will be next directing Ranveer Singh in his upcoming period drama Takht.

Recently, when Karan, Ranveer, Akshay Kumar, and Sonam Kapoor attended the Twinkle Khanna’s third book launched titled Pyjamas Are Forgiving, after the historical judgment of Supreme Court on section 377 for India, Ranveer couldn’t hold back joking with Karan on the same. Ranveer even applauded the SC for this when he came on to stage on the book launch event.

While speaking Ranveer said, “A thundering round of applause for the verdict”. Pointing the filmmaker he further added, “You can have as much dessert as you want Mister”. Karan Johar also could resist himself and reply, “Why has it become about me?” Ranveer didn’t stop here and said, “We are doing Takht together, and I’ll be your Ras Malai.”

Post the verdict of the Supreme Court, Karan took to his social media and wrote, “Historical judgment!!!! So proud today! Decriminalising homosexuality and abolishing #Section377 is a huge thumbs up for humanity and equal rights! The country gets its oxygen back!”

Talking about Ranveer Singh, he will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt, a cricket-based film on India’s 1983 World Cup win with Kabir Khan and Rohit Shetty’s helmer Simmba alongside debutant Sara Ali Khan. The man has also grabbed Karan Johar’s Takht which is a multi-starer movie featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Padnekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal.

On a personal note, he is making headlines for tying the knot with his alleged ladylove Deepika Padukone in November. It is said they will have a destination wedding at the Lake Como of Italy.
