Yesterday, Amar Kaushik’s Stree has been released alongside Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se and doing exceptionally well at the box office on the first day. The movie Stree had a kick-start on the very first day of the release at the box office and earned around Rs 6.82. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead, is a delight to watch Rajkummar’s and Shraddha terrific acting along with the supporting roles of Aparkshakti Khurrana and Pankaj Tripathi.
This horror comedy is directed by a debutant Amar Kaushik is inspired by the legend of Nale Ba. Shraddha as a female spirit, Stree, roams on the streets of Chanderi during the days of the puja, no man is safe. To ward her off, they paint the words “O stree, kal aana” outside each house.
A young man called Vicky (Rao) in the town of Chanderi who is blessed by a keen eye and kind heart. However, he gets lovestruck with every girl he meets and doesn’t stop admiring her. When she says come, he follows, casting aside fears of the ‘stree’ who scars the town, hunting lone men. There’s a ‘bhootni’ about, beware. While Khurrana and other are fooling around with his friend Vicky, one night they confront Stree.
Overall, Stree is fun to watch with these exceptionally skillful actors like Rajkummar, Aparshakti and Pankaj Tripathi who is always a treat to watch.
