After the bitter statement of Tanushree Dutta, the whole Bollywood turned totally different and the movement is making rounds on the internet with every day new revelations, and on the same note, a few days back, Aamir Khan abjured the Gulshan Kumar biopic titled, Mogul. And this action of him as a result when Geetika Tyagi tweeted to Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival (Kiran Rao is the chairperson), reminding all about the things going inside the Moghul director, Subhash Kapoor.
After that happening, Aamir Khan, who was supposed to co-produce the film along with Subhash left us astonished with his statement that came out as “we have decided to step away from this film.” Now as per the latest reports in Mumbai Mirror, the actor has returned to the projects as the director Kapoor has been shown the door. Accordingly, one close source to the makers revealed, “The script is close to Aamir and he wants to make the film. Bhushan and he have had a number of meetings since and decided to collaborate on Mogul again. The hunt is on for another director. They are also looking at finalizing the cast so they can roll with the film, ASAP.”

“As creative people, we have been committed to foregrounding and finding solutions to social issues, and at Aamir Khan Productions we have always had a zero-tolerance policy towards any misconduct and bad behavior of any kind.”
Two weeks ago, when traumatic #MeToo stories began emerging, it was brought to our attention that someone we were about to begin work with has been blamed for the misconduct. Upon inquiry, we found that this particular case is sub judice and that the legal process is in motion.
We are not an investigative agency, nor are we in any position to pass judgment on anyone – that is for the police and judiciary to do. So, without casting any aspersions on anyone involved in this case, and without coming to any conclusions about these specific allegations, we have decided to step away from this film.
We do not want our action to reflect in any manner on the people involved in this case. We believe that this is an opportunity for the film industry to introspect and take concrete steps towards change. For far too long women have faced the brunt of exploitation.
It has to stop. In this regard, we are committed to doing any and everything to make our film industry a safe and happy one to work in.
