Ira Khan to make her directorial debut
In the picture, Ira is seen sitting with a laptop, notebooks and is busy penning something. One can easily guess that she is working hard to leave her mark in the direction with her play. She captioned the image as, “With a team so big and with so many people to coordinate between, I sometimes forget that I need to find time to sit down and do my own homework. There’s no point meeting people unprepared. So now I make time every few days. It calms the chaos enough to make it all-enjoyable.”
According to the sources, Ira’s play will premiere in December this year. When asked about her debut play, Ira Khan stated that she chose to debut with theatre as she finds it magical. “There’s no particular reason that I decided to start with theatre. I love theatre, it’s magical and all-consuming; in its classical form, in the world of technology, it’s very real and physical. I love the suspension of disbelief that the audience allows for because then there’s so much you can express.”
Oftentimes she was asked about her acting debut, but she said that she is not into acting at all. She also revealed that she loves direction and especially of theatrical plays. We hope Ira leaves her mark in direction just like her dad Aamir made his mark in acting.
