Bollywood’s Junior Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan recalled his first meeting with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. They had first met in Switzerland where Aishwarya was shooting for Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, her debut movie while he was in Switzerland as a production boy for his father, Amitabh Bachchan’s Mrityudaata. Aishwarya was shooting for the movie with her co-stars Bobby Deol and it was Bobby who invited him for dinner. That was the first time he met his wife.

During a chat show Abhishek revealed that Aishwarya jokingly says that she does not understand a word of what he was saying because he was a kid from an international boarding school, then went to Boston and that’s the reason he had a really heavy accent at that point.

Abhishek and Aishwarya met first time professionally during a photoshoot for Dhai Akshar Prem Ki and worked together in Guru, Dhoom 2, Umrao Jaan and Bunty and Babli. The couple gradually fell in love and married on 20 April, 2007 according to traditional Hindu rites of the Bunt community, to which she belongs. North Indian and Bengali ceremonies were also performed. The wedding took place in a private ceremony at the Bachchan residence, ‘Prateeksha’, in Juhu, Mumbai. The couple have a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
