Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who often receives trolls and negative comments, shared a note on the occasion of World Social Media Day. The actor shared a meme featuring himself in Drake’s Hotline Bling template where he can be seen reacting to two alternatives.
Abhishek Bachchan shared the meme on his Instagram handle which shows avoiding social media’s use for ‘ spreading rumours/negativity’ and using social media for ‘sharing information, gaining knowledge, spreading love, peace and happiness’.
The actor captioned the post as “Social media is a powerful tool. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility! #WorldSocialMediaDay #SocialMediaDay”. Many including celebrities responded to his post in the comment section. Suniel Shetty gave it clapping emoticons and the photographer Dabboo Ratnani dropped two thumps up for the post.
One of his fans commented on it as “You are absolutely love”. Another one wrote that “Absolutely!! In complete agreement”. “We’re so proud of u @bachchan”, read the third one.
Abhishek Bachchan is often appreciated for his dignified responses to the trolls and negative comments. He has responded to a Twitter user last year who stated that he gets movies because he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan and he reply read, “Kaash jo aap keh rahe hote sach hota. Sochiye, kitna kaam milta mujhe. (I wish what you’re saying was true. Imagine how much work I’d get)”.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama earlier this year, Abhishek said that “My thing is that it is fair game. If you’re going to take potshots at me I have every right to take a potshot back at you”. He further added that enjoys ‘genuinely funny jokes’ at his expense.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in ‘The Big Bull’, playing the inspired from scam-tainted stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
