Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who portrayed the role of Ram in a TV show Ramayan, recalls his good memories associated with the show and also shares his views on doing the role again but, not on the silver screen.
Gurmeet recently interacted with a media personality on social media and revealed that he feels very proud of doing the role of Ram in the year 2008 and people loved it. When asked if he will do the role again if some producer offers him the script, Gurmeet said it would be a nice opportunity to perform the character of Ram once again but this time for films, to reach a bigger audience.
On being asked about his previous experiences about the show, he described his journey in a very interesting way. Gurmeet said he used to watch the original Ramayan in which Mr. Arun Govil used to act. His father always used to narrate Ramayan to him and this thing had an important impact on his life.
Gurmeet said when the role of Ram was offered to him for the first time, he wanted to do it in his own style as he didn’t want to copy Arunji’s style. In the end, Gurmeet said while he gave the mock auditions for the show, he did deep research for that role. He also revealed that when the crew used to work for long 12 hours, he used to stay in Ram’s getup as he wanted to give his best performance.
