Filmmaker Aditya Chopra has launched the ‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative,’ he named the initiative after his father Late filmmaker Yash Chopra. The initiative is for supporting thousands of daily wage earners of the film industry who have lost their livelihood. Using this initiative he will transfer INR 5000 to women and senior citizens and also provide ration kits to workers with a family of 4.
The senior vice-president of Yash Raj Flims, Akshaye Widhani says “The pandemic has pushed the backbone of our industry, the daily workers, to a breaking point, and YRF wants to support as many workers and their families who are in need due to the loss of livelihood. Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative is aiming to provide support to the pandemic-hit workers of our industry who we urgently need to focus on.”
COVID-19 pandemic has made so many people suffer in the country, they lost their loved ones in this pandemic. While daily wagers and migrant workers have also lost their jobs. This initiative will be such a great step for helping them.
