Veteran Bollywood actor Jaya Bachchan celebrated her 71st birthday on Tuesday. While the whole Bachchan family had sweet messages for the lady of the Bachchan house, Aishwarya Rai’s birthday message definitely stood out. Wishing her mother-in-law, Aishwarya posted a picture with Jaya and her daughter Aaradhya.

She captioned the image as, “Happiness always”. In the post, Aishwarya and Jaya can be seen dressed in pale colors while Aaradhya looked super cute in a bright red color dress with matching hair band.

Both Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda posted birthday wishes for Jaya on social media. Abhishek posted a simple message and wrote”Maa” in Hindi along with a picture of his mother from her youth. He further added how the word sums her mother up, while Shweta posted a picture of herself with her mother Jaya and wrote, “O Captain, My Captain.”

Even though Aishwarya has been away from the silver screen since the release of her previous movie, Fanney Khan, she is busy with her advertisement assignments. Last year she was in France on two occasions, first to walk the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival and later for the shoot of the advertisement for an international watch brand, Longines.

Elsewhere, as per reports, Aishwarya will be doing a film with Mani Ratnam next. DNA quoted a source as saying that Aishwarya has already signed on to the project, while her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan may also feature in the film. “It’s a big-budget historical drama, which is being planned on the lines of the Baahubali franchise. It’s likely to be a bilingual project and star several other big names from the South Indian film industry.”

While there are other reports that suggest that Abhishek and Aishwarya could also be seen together playing lyricist-poet Saahir Ludhianvi and poet Amrita Pritam respectively, in a film that would be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
