Mumbai have been facing a severe outbreak of COVID-19, the everyday cases have been reduced to 4000 positive patients, but that’s not a satisfactory reduction. The government of Maharashtra have been working to control the virus amid lockdown, facing issues to provide vaccines and oxygen supply. However, Ajay Devgn donated an amount of 1 crore to Brihnmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to set up a 20 Bed COVID-19 ICU Hospital. The hospital facility is built at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Hall, located at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. The amount was donated to BMC by Ajay’s organization, NY Foundation.
The Hospital is well equipped for the treatment of COVID-19 patients with facilities like Para-monitor ventilators and oxygen supply, would be managed by doctors of P D Hinduja Hospital. Joy Chakraborty, COO of Hinduja Hospital had stated that it would be an extension of Hinduja and the food, linen, medicine, manpower etc will be provided by their management. Meanwhile, local corporate, Vishakha Raut confirmed that Ajay Devgn has helped to build up the facility. Hinduja Hospital faced the challenge to fulfil demands for ventilator and oxygen beds due to the increasing number of patients, it’s a nice gesture by Ajay Devgn to help for a noble cause.
On the work front, Ajay was seen in a blockbuster movie “Tanhaji: The unsung warrior” directed by Om Raut. He would be seen in his upcoming movie Bhuj, his special appearance in “RRR” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”
