Akshay Kumar, the actor who is famous for doing films based on social issues and biopics is coming once again with the film titled as Gold. The film is based on India’s first gold medal win as a free nation in 1948. The film is ready to hit the theatres on August 15.

Right now he is busy promoting his upcoming film. Well, Akshay took to his micro-blogging site Twitter and shared various cities of India lighting in gold and he also shared a video which had all the sportsmen of India coming collectively to talk about their golden moment which somewhere makes us proud to be an Indian.

Here what Akshay’s tweets read:

#DelhiTurnsGold: Glad to be in the capital today as @_PVRCinemas unites for India’s first Gold🏅#IndiaTurnsGold”

#MumbaiTurnsGold: Celebrate the 70th anniversary of our first Gold medal victory at the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus today. Thank you @Central_Railway for commemorating this important occasion in India’s sporting history #IndiaTurnsGold”

#AhmedabadTurnsGold: A view to behold as the Sabarmati Riverfront turns Gold, do go have a look to believe it. #IndiaTurnsGold”

“#PuneTurnsGold:  The cosmopolitan Magarpatta City turns Gold on this iconic day marking 70 years of India’s first Gold 🏅. #IndiaTurnsGold”

And, here is the main video that he shared which tells the feeling of Gold:

Along with the video, he wrote: Celebrate 70 years of free India’s first Gold by knowing how it feels by the history makers themselves. #FeelingOfGold

On the other hand, Akshay is in no mood to compare his film with Shah Rukh Khan’s Chak De India! and he recently said, “Everything will be a competition. For me, it is all about doing a good film. Chak De… was a different story, Gold is different. It is frivolous to even think like that or compete with that film. Don’t compare it, it is all different.”
