Akshay Kumar’s Transformation Into Tapan Das In Gold Is Worth Appreciating

Akshay Kumar is all busy in the promotion of his upcoming period film Gold. Ahead of its release, the film has been creating quite the buzz. The film’s story revolves around the character of Tapan Das who was the assistant manager of a pre-independence hockey team. His aim was to get a gold medal for the country.
Akshay is known for his disciplined nature. But, his recent behind-the-scenes footage shows the quirky side of the very hard-working actor. The clip was shared by the makers. The video clip shows Khiladi Kumar making light of his character Tapan Das while trying to get a shot right. Later, it showed how the physical aspect of Akshay’s character was brought to life in the film. The video also shows the director of the movie, Reema Kagti and Akshay.
Once, while talking about his role, Akshay said: “I am playing Tapan Das, a Bengali, who is the Indian hockey team’s manager in the pre-Independence era. We added a moustache, a dhoti, with a jacket and a differently-styled hair-do for the character.”
Also, Reema Kagti, dthe irector of the film talks about Akshay’s character Tapan Das: “The person that inspired his character is very controversial. Scheming, unpopular, argumentative, but at the same time, knows the game really well.”
In the film, Kunal Kapoor is playing a significant and he said: “Akshay is a very physical actor. He can slip, and fall, and you know, nothing will happen. He can do a cartwheel, so he does a lot of physical stuff. After the take would be over, and Reema was happy with the take she got, he will be like, ‘Let’s do one for fun.’”
The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Kunal Kapoor, Mouni Roy , Amit Sadh and Vineet Kumar Singh in pivotal roles. The Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar producing film will release on August 15, 2018.
