Ameesha Patel has been called to the next hearing in a matter involving a cheque bounce. On Monday, a Bhopal court issued a bailable warrant against her. According to News 18, Ameesha has been summoned to court on December 4 for a hearing on a Rs 32.25 lakh cheque bounce. UTF Telefilms Private Limited has filed this lawsuit, alleging that the actress borrowed money to make a film and that the two checks she submitted to the company bounced.
First Class District Judge Ravi Kumar Borasi has issued a bailable warrant against Ameesha, according to Ravi Panth, attorney for UTF Telefilms Pvt Ltd. In order to make the film, Ameesha and her firm M/S Ameesha Patel Production borrowed 32 lakh 25 thousand rupees from UTF Telefilms Pvt Ltd.
He provided the corporation two cheques in lieu of 32 lakh 25 thousand, which bounced, as per the arrangement. On behalf of UTF Telefilms Pvt Ltd, he filed the complaint at the District Court of Bhopal. Ameesha Patel was handed a bailable warrant in this case on Monday.
The actress could face an arrest warrant if she fails to appear before the district court on December 4, 2021.
Ameesha Patel will reconnect with Sunny Del for a sequel to their classic film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ on the big screen. ‘Gadar 2’ will be directed by Anil Sharma and will star Utkarsh Sharma, Sunny, and Ameesha in the key roles.
