Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan recently paid 70 crores in taxes for the financial year 2018-19. The amount is so big, that the sheers numbers involved are mind-boggling. This comes after Big B also paid off loans of 2,084 farmers in Muzaffarpur, Bihar not so long ago. Renowned for his generosity, Amitabh Bachchan also donated Rs 10 lakh to the family members of each victim of the February 14, Pulwama Terror attacks in Kashmir.
While generosity comes second, the amount of money that he paid just for taxes is enormous. “Mr. Bachchan has paid Rs 70 crore tax for the financial year 2018-19,” his spokesperson said in a statement. Bollywood celebs are known to spend lavishly on their elite lifestyles, however, being responsible citizens they also pay great numbers when it comes to taxes.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan tasted massive success with Badla. The movie made on a budget of 10 crores, profited as much as 10 times its original budget, while critics applauded the work of Amitabh ceremoniously. Badla is a crime thriller starring Taapsee Pannu, and as the name of the movie suggests, its a plot of revenge which follows an interaction between a lawyer and a businesswoman regarding a murder.
Shot largely in Glasgow, Scotland, the mystery thriller also features Amrita Singh, Tony Luke, Manav Kaul, and Tanveer Ghani. The film is an official adaptation of the 2017 Spanish film ‘The Invisible Guest’ and is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Azure Entertainment.

Big B’s next big project will be fantasy trilogy ‘Brahmastra’ where he will share the screen along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The movie is written and directed by Ayan Mukherji, who previously revealed how the Himalayas inspired him to write the story of ‘Brahmastra.’
The movie is among the most awaited projects this year and will hit cinemas at Christmas. ‘Brahmastra’ will be made under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios. Besides that Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen making his Tamil debut soon.
