AndhaDhun is making a lot of money at the China Box office. The movie has collected well over 100 crores in its six days following its release in China and in doing so has crossed its lifetime earning in India. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the movie has Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in lead roles.

The movie has crossed its lifetime earnings from India, in just six days after its release at the Chinese Box Office, informed trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet. He wrote, “ stays super-strong on the crucial Mon, after an *extended* weekend in [opened on Wed]… Crosses $ 15 mn [₹ 100cr]… Also crosses India *lifetime biz* [Gross BOC] in *6 days*… Mon $ 1.45 mn. Total: $ 15.25 mn [₹ 106.09 cr].

The movie opened across 5,000 screens in China and has even overtaken Shazam in the highest grossing movies list in China. This is in a similar fashion to its release in India, where it received massive reception from the audiences. Film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave AndhDhun a four-star rating and wrote in his review for NDTV that the film is an “intelligently paced and structured crime drama.”

AndhaDhun is the story of Akash (Ayushmann) a pianist, who pretends to be visually impaired. His life takes a tumultuous turn when he witnesses a murder at the hands of Simi (Tabu) and her lover Manohar Jawanda (Manav Vij). Akash then loses his eye-sight for real, after Simi suspects that Akash was pretending to be blind.

The movie is full of twist and turns and will keep the audiences guessing. Thus, it even managed to pip top-earning films of 2018 – SanjuPadMan and Raazi – to become IMDb’s Top Indian Movie of the year. Elsewhere, Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in ‘Article 15’ an investigative drama from Anubhav Sinha. The movie’s shooting was completed recently is slated to release next year.
