Music composer Anu Malik, who is currently seen as a judge in Indian Idol 12, is being trolled on social media and it kind of connects to Olympics which is being held in Tokyo. It is not related to any of his comments on any athletes but rather for copying music. When Artem Dolgopyat, Israel’s gymnast won a gold medal, the national anthem of Israel was played after he was given the medal. Later, a netizen found a similarity with the song composed by Anu Malik titled ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’ from the film ‘Diljale’.

The netizen took to the Twitter handle and pointed out the similarity along with the Olympic clip. She wrote “The National anthem tune has some familiarity to the Indian song.. Mera Mulk Mera Desh?? Or is it just me?”.

Another Twitter user addressed Anu Malik as a time traveler by sharing a picture of Anu Malik and Hatikvah who first sung the song in 1870. He commented “Anu Malik is time traveler. He was borne in 1870, first sang ‘Hatikvah’ in 1887 which was later adopted by Israel as national anthem in 1948. Below first is pic of Anu Malik dated somewhere between 1870-1940 and second dated 2020”.

A music enthusiast pointed out the history of the music and wrote “Anu Malik copied the opening bars from Hatikvah, which in turn was copied from a Romanian Folk song which owes its origin to an Italian 16th century folk tune “La Mantovana””.

Anu Malik also got trolled where one netizen shared his video from Indian Idol audition where Anu got trolled by a auditionee singing in his style. He wrote by sharing the video, “This legend had a way better instinct for Anu Malik years ago”.
