Trust Anupam Kher to brighten up your day with his antics in New York and he won’t disappoint! The actor, who is a part of a medical drama series New Amsterdam, often shares his interesting encounters in the Big Apple. Recently, he posted a video on his official Instagram account that featured his interaction with a taxi driver in the city.
Along with the clip he wrote, “Encounters in NY: Atiqur Rahman my Uber driver from Bangladesh loves Hindi films songs. After he dropped me he made a peculiar request of singing his favourite Amitabh Bachchan song loudly on the streets of New York. I was happy to make him happy. Watch it for yourself.”
Clearly, the veteran actor is having a gala time as he sings the iconic love track Kabhi Kabhie from the Yash Chopra’s film of the same name.
This video was another part of his ‘Encounters in NY’ segment that he has on social media. In the series, he shares his interactions with local cab drivers in the city and what’s their take on Indian cinema.
Earlier this week, he shared a clip in which featured a Delhi-based driver and penned, “Encounters in NY: Harvinder Singh, from Delhi drives an Uber in NY for the last 5yrs. He found it difficult to deal with my weight loss. He said, “नाम तो देसी है पर अंदर से मैं निकलूँगा ये नहीं पता था!” This is such a Delhi expression. I was happy to FaceTime his wife, mother and number of other relatives. We all had long chats. ”
On the work front, Anupam Kher was last seen in Ashok Nanda’s film One Day: Justice Delivered, co-starring Esha Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Anusmriti Sarka in key roles.
He is currently involved with David Schulner’s show New Amsterdam, co-starring Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery and Jocko Sims. He has also launched his autobiography recently, titled Lessons Life Taught Me Unknowingly.
