Anushka Gets Candid About Career, Says She Will Simply Retire After She Is Done With Acting

Anushka Sharma’s career is going at the finest speed after the release of her home production film titled Pari and her role in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju. She has completed two other films also whose promotion will start very soon. Yes, Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif and another film Sharat Katariya’s Sui Dhaaga: Made in India with Varun Dhawan is ready to hit the theatres.

In an interview with a leading magazine, Anushka gets candid about her journey in Bollywood and said, “I feel more confident and in control of my performance when I’m on set. I guess after having done so many films now and having worked with so many different people just gives you that confidence. Today, I understand scripts better and I know how to look at a scene in a better way. As an individual, I think the growth has been tremendous. I’ve become calmer and less anxious, more aware, and hopefully a kinder, nicer human being. I’m a work in progress in that department for sure.”

On her 30th birthday, she shared a note on her social media and revealed her plans that she is building an animal shelter in 6 acres of land outside Mumbai.

“I think the animal shelter that I’m building is a huge achievement for me. It’s something that gives me a lot of joy and peace. I’ve always been an animal lover and I’ve always wished to use the position that I’m in today in the best way I can,” she added in an interview.

When she was asked about her future plans and if she tries another career after acting, she said, “I’d just work for the shelter or something along those lines. If I’m ever done with acting I wouldn’t want to do anything else; I’ll just live a retired life.”
