Arshad Warsi’s tweet aggravated the netizens because it looked like he was being insensitive towards the situation and got slammed for his humour on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Arshad Warsi just tweeted a Golmaal meme to describe the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. “Self-explanatory… Golmaal was way ahead of its time,” he captioned while sharing a scene from his film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited starring Ajay Devgn, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rimi Sen and Mukesh Tiwari. Though, netizens were disturbed by his insensitivity to the situation and jumped on him for his humour.

“As much as I respect you as an artist, trying to make fun of a war situation is a little insensitive to my taste, sir,” one Twitter user wrote. Another one commented, “Ukrainian people deserve empathy… Bollywood ki movie ni chal rahi udhar (It’s not a Bollywood film playing out there).” One person wrote, “I don’t think it’s time for a meme! Lives at stake,” while another one said, “Bro, keep your war memes in your drafts. Nobody’s laughing.”
After encountering an immense backlash, Arshad has now deleted the said tweet which showed the Golmaal meme.

Meanwhile, Arshad Warsi’s forthcoming films include The Legend of Michael Mishra, Guddu Rangeela, Fraud Saiyyan and Bhaiyyaji Superhitt while the film Zamaanat, a courtroom drama directed by S Ramanathan, is still unreleased. Arshad Warsi will be seen in Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
