Ayushmann Khurrana is touted to be one of the most talented actors of the current era. While his acting skills are known to be immaculate, his movies are always concentrated on eccentric and obscure topics. The actor, who turned 37 today, made his debut with Vicky Donor 9 years from now, in 2012.
During his spell with MTV Roadies, of which he also won the second season, he had also acted in some parodies that would air on MTV. Two of the parodies were Cheque De India and Jadoo Ek Bar, which were spoofs of Chak De India and Jodhaa Akbar, respectively. He impersonated Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in these movies.
However, Ayushmann openly admits to being a Shah Rukh Khan fanboy. During one interview, he recalled watching Shah Rukh shoot for Maya Memsaab in Kasauli, while he was 8.
Ayushmann has a lot of films lined up including Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Anubhav Sinha’s Anek and Anubhuti Kashyap’s Doctor G. He has expressed his desire that the films get theatrical releases.
“I hope they will all contribute towards bringing people back to the theatres. Films like these trigger community conversations about important issues and it is imperative that such films have a community watching experience which can only happen in a theatre,” he said.
