Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has won plenty of hearts with not only his charismatic looks, but also his soulful voice and method acting. Doing out of the box movies that defy stereotypes has been a knack for him. It won’t be wrong to say that he is among the most successful actors in Bollywood today.

However, it hasn’t been an easy ride for the Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui actor. Ayushmann started off as a contestant in Roadies, following which he became an anchor, and radio jockey and then finally bagged his debut with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor, which was produced by John Abraham. While he managed to charm everyone with his smooth acting in the movie, the actor was still finding it difficult to get roles in movies.

In a recent interview, Khurrana revealed that after Vicky Donor, a lot of people had trouble believing in him because he did not seem like the typical Bollywood hero. “Talking about the industry after my first film Vicky Donor they were confused what to do with me because everything that I have done in the industry is completely out of the syllabus,” he said.

He was thankful to his teachers and his father for having believed in him in those difficult times. In fact, he said that his father believed in him more than he did in himself. We’ve seen his journey as he has delivered hits with his eccentric choice of films.

Ayushmann is geared up for the release of his upcoming movie, Anek.
