B-Town celebrities salutes the ‘White Coat superheroes’ on National Doctors Day

Doctors are said to be the second god to us. They are the one who saves millions of lives daily. Today, Bollywood Celebrities salute them for their effortless spirits to fought with deadly coronavirus. Even in these hard times, Doctors and other healthcare staff are putting their own life and family’s well being at stake. BTown celebs talked to Hindustan Times and thanks to our healthcare personnel on the occasion of National Doctor’s Day. Let’s take a look at what celebs have to say.

While thanking real heroes of the Covid Crisis, Actress Sonakshi Sinha said, “Our doctors and healthcare workers have been fighting the raging war of Covid-19 with unmatched compassion and have been continually infusing hope within all of us. I want to thank each one of them for selflessly working towards humanity, saving lives while putting their own at risk is no joke. I salute each and everyone who did that for us.”

Rising from reel life Villain to real-life hero image, Actor Sonu Sood also salute doctors and called them “real heroes”. Sonu has compared them to the Army officers who are protecting our country at the borders. “In the first and then the second wave, Doctors proved that they were the frontline heroes, like Army officers, who saved thousands and thousands of lives. Every individual in this country and across the globe, should be thankful to doctors for guarding and protecting their families,” says Sonu Sood.

Talking on the same Actress Shruti Haasan said to the daily, “I just want to say a huge thank you to our doctors. I don’t think we know even two per cent of what they’ve gone through emotionally, physically and mentally, during these testing times.” The actress further revealed that she had lost a close friend due to deadly Covid-19, and She knows the people who were there taking care of those affected. “It’s not easy and I can’t imagine what it must be like for the doctors. They just keep going with spirit and determination. They just say they’re doing their job, but it’s much more than that,” Shruti added.

Another talented Actress Divya Dutta said, “It’ll never be enough to thank our biggest frontline workers, our doctors, who’ve sacrificed their lives, their families to be there for us. It’s scary to even think what would have happened if they weren’t around and for us. To be there 24/7 in those PPE kits, looking after people, saving lives, it’s a very tall feat and words won’t be enough to thank them.”

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, an outstanding actress and a fitness freak, also spoke to the daily to pay her tribute to the “White Coat heroes”.  She said that she is short of words to thank doctors who are risking their lives selflessly. “No word has the power to describe the amount of hard work and sacrifices doctors have made in the last year and a half. I salute the white coat warriors for putting their lives at risk unconditionally to save the world,” she added.

Actress Raveena Tandon also joined the other celebs to salute Doctors on a special day. She called them real superheroes and said, “Doctors have been the saviours of mankind in these tough times. With so much suffering around, it was them who ventured out and did all that they can do to help other people. It is them who are the real superheroes, our frontline workers. I salute them and thank them from the bottom of my heart for their selfless service.”
