Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah actress Munmun Dutta aka ‘Babita Ji’ has made headlines a few weeks ago for all wrong reasons. Recently, a news of her quitting the show has been surfaced on the internet. Now, The production house has made the statement on the same.
The character of Babita Iyer from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah is very popular among the audience. Munmun is playing the character from the beginning of the show and she has received overwhelming response from the audience. As the shooting in Maharashtra wasn’t possible because of COVID19, the crew had to move Daman to continue their shoot. However, the actress Munmun Dutta was missing from the Mission Kala Kauwa episode shoot in Daman. Now, the team has returned to Mumbai for shoot but Munmun yet not returned on the show as revealed by Spotboye. A close source of the portal even told that the actress hasn’t came on the set since her ‘Bhangi’ comment controversy and she is likely to quit the show very soon.
However, The production house of TMKOC, Neela Film Productions Pvt Ltd owned by Asitt Kumar Modi denied the news of her quitting the show and called it just a ‘rumor’. He said, “Munmun Dutta continues to remain part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Babita ji. Any rumors about her quitting the show are baseless and incorrect.”
A few weeks back, the actress was in news for using a castiest slur ‘Bhangi’ in one of her video. She was brutually trolled by the netizens on social media and #ArrestMunmunDutta trended on Twitter. Later, the actress issued an apology letter citing she was misinformed about the meaning of the word.
