Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen clarifies after being slammed for her recent tweets on surrogacy

Bangladeshi Writer Taslima Nasreen took to her Twitter handle to clear the air about her recent post on surrogacy. As we know, her post came right after Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the news of their first child on the Instagram handle.

Ppl are abusing me for my comments on surrogacy.They claim it's my stone-age idea to not rent wombs for making babies.I suggest to adopt homeless children&to not exploit/invade poor women's body. Actually its a stone-age idea by any means to reproduce babies for following traits.

Referring to one tweet that create a storm on social media platforms, popular activist wrote, “My surrogacy tweets are about my different opinions….Nothing to do with Priyanka-Nick I love the couple.”

Further clarifying, Taslima Nasreen added in her next post, “Ppl are abusing me for my comments on surrogacy…..actually, it’s a stone-age idea by any means to reproduce babies for allowing traits.”

Adding more details, the whole controversy around Taslima Nasreen’s perspective on the concept of surrogacy began which she started without mentioning anyone. Also, the tweets have not gone down well with Priyanka-Nick’s fans and well-wishers who slammed Taslima Nasreen for referring to babies as ‘readymade’. On the other hand, some called popular activist’s perspective outrageous and demanded an apology.

Meanwhile, many celebrities of Bollywood like Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Bhumi Pednekar, congratulated Priyanka Chopra. On Saturday, the couple shared the news in their Instagram posts. The post reads, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby….We respectfully ask for privacy….thank you so much.”
