Bhumi Pednekar on people helping eachother during pandemic, says it “uplifts my spirit”

The second wave of pandemic have hit us hard, as nation is struggling with the virus many offered help to cope up with the situation. Bhumi Pednekar with sister Samiksha Pednekar have started an online help center for COVID-19 patients, so as they would be provided with oxygen/ventilator beds as well as vaccines and plasma. Actor took to her Instagram and shared few stories she came across helping people. She told an incident where a ‘Government Hospital’ provided ventilator to a non-covid 18 year old, they even replaced the ventilator when found defective. Bhumi appealed to the citizens to donate plasma as the country is in need of it to cure patients battling with the virus.

Bhumi explained, if an individual can donate plasma and if he/she is not vaccinated should donate as soon as possible, after the first dose of vaccination one cannot donate plasma for a long period of time. Bhumi said she received an overwhelming response form the people for providing resources. Bhumi started her fight with the virus with handful of volunteers, which as of now are multiplied upto 200 volunteers. Bhumi says she is working every second to fight for the people against COVID-19 with the help of social media.

On work front Bhumi will be seen in her upcoming project with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions titled as ‘TAKHT’, along with her Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor will be seen playing pivotal roles. Bhumi’s upcoming project will be directed by Karan Johar.
