BO facts: Kalank remains a dud; Andhadhun turns third major grosser Hindi movie in China

Karan Johar’s movie Kalank, after seeing the major first-day collection of 2019, is contending to stay buoyant at the Indian ticket office.

The film made around Rs 3 crore on its seventh day at Indian box office. The movie has managed to earn more than Rs 72 crore at the box office thus far. Varun Dhawan- Alia Bhatt’s movie raked in Rs 11.45 crore on its second day 2, Rs 11.60 crore on its third day, Rs 9.75 crore on its fourth day, Rs 11.63 crore on its fifth day and Rs 3.25 crore on its sixth day.

Andhadhun turn out to be third major grosser Hindi movie in China

The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte has won many hearts in India but currently the flick is earning big in the Chinese zone.

The admirers have given it positive reviews and it has turned into the third top grossing Indian movie in China.

Renowned movie critic and trade forecaster Taran Adarsh made a special tweet and shared the full fledged details.

In his tweet, Taran Adarsh wrote: “#AndhaDhun crosses $ 47 million in #China… Slowed down since #AvengersEndgame release, hence $ 50 million was ruled out… But the job is done… Third highest grossing *Indian film* in #China… Total till 2 May 2019: $ 47.29 million [₹ 327.67 cr].”

On Kalank’s failure, Varun made a video in a moving car and said, “My 32nd birthday… But I am going to tell you how it all went down. I was a little down because my latest release did not go the way I thought it would and it did hit me a little hard, I will be very honest. I didn’t know how to react to it. Lot of people told me, ‘don’t show it’. I don’t know how to behave like that. Failures are a part of life.”
