This often occurs is what turns no-name actors into stars, and first-time directors into legends and Indian cinema has always introduced new talents through the low budget movies yet rocking in the blockbusters.

Ayushmann Khurrana featured Badhaai Ho is an Indian Hindi language family comedy-drama film. Helmed under the direction of Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Aleya Sen, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Hemant Bhandari and Vineet Jain under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures. The film managed to collect 142.61 Crore till 29th October 2018 and was made under the budget of 30 crores turned out to be a super hit movie.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety
Exceeding the expectations of analysts, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety collected Rs. 100.33 crore worldwide. The film was directed Luv Ranjan, is one of those films which lacks the firepower of big Bollywood names and has been produced on a humble budget has done a phenomenal business in the industry.
Irrfan Khan’s commercially and critically acclaimed drama Hindi Medium, hit screens last year in May 2017. The movie has become the highest grossing Indian film of Irrfan Khan globally and created buzz with such a small budget of 23 crores and collected 334.36 crores worldwide.
Neeraj Ghaywan directorial Masaan starring Richa Chadda was again a critically acclaimed movie which was made in a low budget of 8 crores managed to do well in the BO collection.
Aashiqui 2 the romantic love story which was directed by Mohit Suri starring Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, the minimum budget movie with just 15 crores did incredible at the BO with 109 crores collection worldwide.
Sujoy Ghosh Directorial Kahaani 2 which featured Arjun Rampal, Jugal Hansraj, Vidya Balan a sequel to the 2012 film Kahaani, collected 54.79 crores at the Box Office collection. The movie was loved by the critics as well as the audience.
The 5 crore budget movie directed by Shoojit Sircar which featured Annu Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam was tremendously loved by the fans, well the movie managed to earn an almost net profit of 700% at the box office, earning approx 645.0 million worldwide.
Paan Singh Tomar
Irfan Khan starrer Paan Singh Tomar is a 2012 Indian biographical film based on the real-life story of the athlete named the same as the title. The movie earned more than its budget and was declared a semi-hit by Box Office India.
