Remakes are the in-thing in Bollywood at the moment. From movie adaptations from other languages to series remakes, there’s a lot of new content coming out by twisting the old one. Same goes for songs as well. Over the years, there have been some spectacular songs that have been remixed and remade in a new way.

While sometimes it does not come off better than the original there have been some remake songs that surpassed the popularity of even the original ones and today’s list is just about that. We’re taking a look at remake songs that eventually became even more successful ones than the original. Read on:

1) Saki Saki

The original Saki Saki song hails from the movie ‘Musafir’ and had Koena Mitra making her debut in Bollywood, but when Nora Fatehi did Saki Saki in 2019’s ‘Batla House’ it even surpassed the popularity of the original one.

2) Dilbar

Another Nora Fatehi song that became even more successful than the original one, Dilbar is originally from the 1999 film ‘Sirf Tum’ featuring Sushmita Sen. Taking the song to a new level in ‘Satyamev Jayate’ Nora really made Sushmita proud with this one.

3) Dheere Dheere

Yo Yo Honey Singh revived this cult hit song from the album of movie Ashiqui. Featuring Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor in the remake video, this song became a massive hit among the audiences.

4) Ghungroo

The first song ever to be shot at the Amalfi coast, Ghungroo originally was a ghazal sang by Pankaj Udhas which was later revived as a song in Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan’s action flick ‘War’.

5) Ek Toh Kam Zindagani

Featuring legendary veteran actress Rekha, the original song was part of the soundtrack of movie Janbaaz. Its remake will see Nora Fatehi groove in Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaavaan that will release on November 15.
