Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest cinematic offering ‘Bala’ released on Friday and the film gave a brilliant account of itself on Day 1. The film starring Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in lead roles alongside Ayushmann is off to a good start.
The biggest news from Day 1 collections of the film is that the film overtakes Ayushmann’s previous film ‘Dream Girl’s’ opening record to become the highest-grossing opener in the career of Ayushmann Khurrana at Rs. 9.50 crores. As per reports on Box Office India, the estimated value of ‘Bala’s’ Day 1 collection surpassed that of ‘Dream Girl’ to clinch the first milestone on Day 1 itself.
After numerous controversies, including that of release dates, the comparison with ‘Ujda Chaman’ and the claims of Dr Zeus that Bala’s makers copied his song, the film is off and running and as per early signs, it could be the seventh successive hit film of Ayushmann’s career. The actor is on a red hot streak by giving back to back hits such as Andhadhun, Badhai Ho, Article 15, Dream Girl to name a few.
The film revolves around the story of a young man suffering from premature balding, and hence the insecurities he has to face and all the solutions he tries to get back his mane make up the primary story. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film’s story if very different, and relatable, and thus it has all the makings to become a big success for Ayushmann’s career.
Apart from the story, the songs of the film are also topping the charts and the audience is grooving to Don’t Be Shy, Naah Goriye, etc. After earning rave reviews from critics, hopes will be high from ‘Bala’ to go on and break further records at the Box Office.
