Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ collects 44 crores in 3 days, sets new records

Ayushmann Khurrana is a man on form, currently, every film that he stars in becomes a hit. His latest cinematic offering ‘Bala’ has now proved this case and the film is on course of collect 50 crores in just four days at the Box Office.

Bala opened up to a collection of Rs. 10 crores on Friday and became the highest opening film of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career. It picked up further momentum and added a humongous total of Rs. 34 crores in the next days, that is, Saturday and Sunday. The total amount that Ayushmann’s film has raked in so far, stands at approximately Rs. 45 crores.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared day-wise figures collected by the film in its Box Office run on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “Bala is rocking… Packs a fantastic total in its opening weekend… Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities – which were decent/good – join the party on Day 3… Mon biz crucial, will give an idea of its lifetime biz… Fri 10.15 cr, Sat 15.73 cr, Sun 18.07 cr. Total: Rs 43.95 cr. India biz.”

Earlier, Ayushmann’s films Badhai Ho and Dream Girl collected Rs. 45.70 crore and Rs 44.57 crore respectively in their first week, thus making ‘Bala’ the third-highest weekend collection film.

The movie also stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles with Ayushmann tells the story of a character who suffers from premature balding. The film shows his struggles as he tried to deal with his insecurities, also showing how Bhumi’s character as an independent girl who too, suffers from society’s bias due to her dark skin.

Yami meanwhile, plays the role of a TikTok star in the film. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film has managed to woo the audiences and is expected to break further records in the upcoming days.
