Director Sujeeth’s big-budget flick, Saaho, starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead, is turning out to be a blockbuster at the box office.
Saaho, a spy-thriller produced by UV Creations, has completed five days in theatres and it’s been a dream run at the box office for the film. In just five days, Saaho has grossed Rs 350 crore worldwide and is still going strong in theatres. Saaho might venture into the profit zone in just a couple of days.
In addition, the Hindi version of Saaho has successfully crossed Rs 100 crore at the end of five days of its theatrical run. On September 3, Tuesday, the film’s collection had dropped by 50%, where it secured Rs 8 crore, taking the total to Rs 102 crore.
Despite negative reviews, Saaho is still continuing to wreak havoc at the box office. Saaho is the story of an undercover agent who is on a mission to nab criminals who try to steal Rs 2000 crore.
Elsewhere, Mission Mangal has been stable as well. Mission Mangal has become Akshay Kumar’s highest grosser in a career spanning 28 years.
Mission Mangal has now an estimated earnings of Rs 188 crore in nineteen days. Moreover, the film is now aiming to cross Rs 200 crore mark at the box office, and if it succeeds then it will become 5th film in the year to enter the coveted Rs 200 club after Uri: The Surgical strike, Kabir Singh, Bharat and Total Dhammal.
Mission Mangal is based on Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission, launched in 2013. The mission saw India become the first nation in the world to reach Mars in its maiden attempt. Mission Mangal is said to be India’s first film based on space technology.
