Kangana Ranaut hailed from a non-film background and made big in Bollywood on her own terms. From delivering major flops to giving many hits, Kangana is a three-time National Award winner who can give a tough competition to her contemporaries. Also, she is one of the highest paid actresses of Bollywood who doesn’t need any Khan or Kumar to deliver a hit because her presence in the film is enough to make it a hit.
Kangana’s personal and professional life has been going through various ups and downs due to her feud with Hrithik Roshan which became public. Also, Kangana’s last film Simran did not do well at the box-office. But she is not a woman who will ever back off. She is ready to face the world and will keep doing it.
Kangana has won several accolades for her performances from many well-known personalities of Bollywood. The latest one is CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi. The well-known lyricist celebrates his 47th birthday today and during his recent media interaction, when he was asked about his experience on working with Kangana in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Prasoon was all praises for her.
He said, “Working with Kangana in Manikarnika has been a memorable experience. I have always been an admirer of her. I believe she holds an eminent place amongst the evergreen talent of Bollywood.”
The period drama film will mark Kangana’s directorial debut and it will also be Prasoon’s first movie where he wrote lyrics for songs post becoming the head of CBFC.
Further, commenting on the ongoing buzz which the film has created showing it all in a bad light, Joshi said, “Disputes that are out of control are extremely unfortunate, they should be avoided, a film or an actor should be adjudged on the scale of merit only.”
Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is all set to release on 25t January 2019.
