Celina Jaitley is ready for her comeback in Bollywood after a gap of 7 years

Former Beauty queen and model Celina Jaitley who got titled Miss India in 2001 with the most beautiful eyes, the actress disappeared from the screens, now is all set to return to the Bollywood world after a long 7 years interval. She bagged the role in Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s directorial Hindi film A Tribute to Rituparno Ghosh: Season’s Greetings.

The film is all based on the mother-daughter relationship, where Celina will be playing the role of daughter opposite veteran actor Lillette Dubey who plays the role of her mother. Azhar Khan is also going to make his debut with the movie playing the character of a male protagonist.

The actress in an interview stated, “I am extremely happy to be a part of Ram Kamal’s film Sea son’s Greetings because I have always considered him as a creative person and when he narrated me this story in Dubai, I had goosebumps.”

“I knew that this film will be worth my time, as post marriage and motherhood I was looking for a subject that would excite me as a performer. Considering the fact that I have been associated with LGTBQIA movement since past 18 years, and Rituda aka Rituparno Ghosh being an inspiration for all of us, I feel that finally, I will be acting in a film that deals with this issue.”

The director of the movie said, “I know Celina as a friend and have interacted with her on various occasions. She is well read and values human emotions. I was looking for someone who could relate to this script, and after the narration, I could see a teary-eyed Celina, who immediately came on board.”

Firstly, the role of the daughter was given to actress Paoli Dam but due to her prior commitments, she couldn’t manage to make herself the part of the movie.

Celina Jaitley not only won the title of Miss India 2001 but also stood at 4th position at Miss Universe competition, the gorgeous eyes girl made her debut in the Bollywood in the year 2003 with the thriller movie Janasheen opposite to Fardeen Khan, she later appeared in the films Silsiilay (2005), No Entry (2005), Tom, Dick, and Harry (2006) and Golmaal Returns (2008).
