Rumi Jaffrey, the writer and director, has made it clear that the actress Rhea Chakraborty will not be doing any media to promote ‘Chehre’. In the movie, Rhea shares the screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. The film was shot just before Sushant Singh Rajput, her boyfriend, passed away. Rumi told that “Abhhi woh  apne haadse se  nikal hi rahi hai…She’s just getting out  of her trauma”.

Chehre director says that he had never thought that Rhea Chakraborty would turn out to be a controversial part of the movie. Rumi told, “To be honest, she doesn’t have that much to do  in Chehre. So those  who  go to  see my film in  the hope of  getting a  good look at  Rhea are in for a disappointment. The main focus of interest is Bachchan Saab and Emraan’s jugalbandi. Their  interaction is what gives the film its tense appeal”.

He said about Amitabh Bachchan as “He  will surprise you. His  passion for creating new  characters  breaking fresh grounds in every film, are very much  on  display in  Chehre. Most directors want  to work with Bachchan Saab, so they will have his name on their biodata. But I want to work with him  again to show much I still have to  do with him”.

The date has not been fixed for the theatrical release of the film, ‘Chehre’ as Anand Pandit, the producer, has went to see his newborn grandson in the States. The release date of the movie will be announced once he returns.
