Siddharth Pithani, the former roommate of Sushant Singh Rajput has been given parole by the court to attend his marriage. On May 28, he was arrested from Hyderabad regarding the case of the demise of the actor for his alleged links in the drug case.
Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the drug case and mentioned that Pithani has been granted 10 days for his marriage. On July 2, he will have to surrender as the bail has not been granted. According to a report, Tareq Sayyed, lawyer of Pithani, told that ‘ he has been granted interim relief on humanitarian grounds’.
Siddharth Pithani and Sushant Singh Rajput used to share the apartment and it was him who found Sushant dead in his room. Even before Sushant’s family members arrived, Pithani removed his body from the ceiling fan. Keshav and Neeraj who were the other housemates of Sushant has been recently questioned by the NCB, allegedly hinted about Pithani’s part in the drug case.
The demise of Sushant Singh Rajput was on June 14, 2020. Three national agencies involving the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Enforcement Directorate have been investigating the death of the actor over the past year.
