England skipper Eoin Morgan was on fire when he scored a blistering knock of 148 runs from only 71 balls against Afghanistan in the 24th match of the World Cup. Morgan took Afghanistan bowlers to the cleaners as he scored a record of 17 sixes in an innings. He was able to hit the ground running as he catapulted his attack on Afghanistan from the get-go.

The English captain also became the eighth batsman to score more than 200 sixes in ODI format. He became the first ever batsman to complete his century with only sixes. 17*6 = 102 runs.

Eoin Morgan outrageous hundred of 57 balls is the fastest century for any England batsman in World Cup history. What’s outrageous is, he dropped by Dawlat Zadran who made a casual one-handed attempt at the boundary rope when Morgan had even not reached 50.
