Deepika Makes it to THIS International Magazine Cover, Became one of US Vogue’s April 2019 Cover Girls

Recently, Deepika Padukone’s much anticipated Madadame Tussauda wax statue has been unveiled and both, Deepika and hubby Ranveer can’t take their eyes off the replica. Just after that, it was unveiled that now Deepika is among 14 cover girls for Vogue US’ April issue, that celebrates 14 superstars across 14 countries.

Deepika took it to Instagram and shared the cover photo which read, “Thrilled to share with you my cover for Vogue Magazine’s April issue celebrating this talented group of women from across the globe!” In the picture, Deepika is being styled by Camila Nickerson. On the cover, Deepika is seen twinning with Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson and Korean star Doona Bae. The cover looks exciting as the trio gives us some major spring vibes with pastel floral outfits, dewy make-up, and fabulous flower tiaras.

Apart from Deepika, Other stars who feature in Vogue’s April issue includes French actress Lea Seydoux, The Crown’s, Baby Driver actor, Mexican star Eriza Gonzalez, Australian actress Eliza Debicki and also Alba Rohrwacher, Golshifteh Farahani, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bruna Marquezine, Live Lisa Fries and Hera Hilmarsdottir.

In the April issue, Vogue US describes her as the star, “who is the highest-paid actress in India and the first woman ever to make it into the top five of the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. (She also featured as part of Time’s 100 most-influential-people lists.) She is, at 33, a truly international star.”

Deepika’s magazine cover could be a new thing for the foreign media but many times in India she has been the cover girl for Vogue. Apart from Vogue, she has also covered issues for magazines such as GQ India, Bazaar, Filmfare, Femina, Maxim, Elle and other.

On a work front, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chaapaak, in which she essays the role of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.
