Looks like Deepika Padukone is ready to be back on sets as well. Actor Deepika Padukone was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday. Reports suggest that she is leaving for Goa to film Shakun Batra’s next.
According to the reports, the Padmaavat actor will be filming Shakun Batra’s next in Goa. The film also has Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey in lead roles. Deepika was seen wearing a bright green shirt and pants combination, a pair of white sneakers, a contrasting pink handbag and with a mask on and she surely cut a stylish picture. She was seen cheerfully waving at paparazzi.
The reports suggest that Siddhant Chaturvedi was also snapped by paparazzi just a few days back as he boarded flight for Goa. The movie was initially supposed to be filmed in Sri Lanka, but due to the lockdown, the makers decided to film it in Goa, suggests the reports. Also the delay gave Shakun to work on the script. As filming is not feasible in Sri Lanka, they decided to do it in Goa as it has similar landscapes.
The movie starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey revolves around the narrative of relationships and will explore female experience in homes and workplaces. The genre is something that is not usually seen in the Indian Cinema. It is known as ‘domestic noir’. In an interview recently, Deepika said that Shakun’s movie cannot be actually called ‘light’ but the tonality is definitely lighter than her last movie.
