Deepika Padukone opens up about what her family appreciates about Ranveer Singh; ‘He is so Forthright’

Actor Deepika Padukone spoke about the good qualities in Ranveer Singh and opened up that they often have discussions on how to stay grounded despite their towering fame.

Deepika reveals that her hubby Ranveer Singh is her biggest cheerleader. Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 at an intimate ceremony in Lake Como, revealing about him, confessing that he always expresses pride for her. She also cited that her family ‘admires’ how forthright he is.

In an interview to Harper’s Bazaar, Deepika said that Ranveer is definitely her loudest cheerleader but it’s not just on social media, it’s at home, too, like when she tries her hand at gardening or cooking a meal. She further added that Ranveer was a ‘sensitive and emotional partner’.  Even when he meets her parents, he always tells them how proud he is of Deepika. Ranveer pays attention to the little things, and that’s what she appreciates about him the most. Her family is not as forthright as Ranveer but they always admire how he can express his emotions so generously.

In the same interview, Deepika explained that vulnerability, simplicity, authenticity are important to her, for example, be it waking up next to her husband or having breakfast together with her family. She stated that remaining grounded was important for her and that she and Ranveer discuss this often. Deepika asserted that anyone could be successful, but what made a difference to her, was to be a good human being.

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone has Fighter and Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan in her kitty. The actress was last seen in the film Gehraiyaan, which starred Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa. Before this, she was featured in the sports drama, 83, which was directed by Kabir Khan. She played the role of Romi Dev, Kapil Dev’s wife in the film. Whereas, Ranveer played the veteran cricketer.
