Ranveer Singh has created a benchmark with several box office records with films like Padmavaat and Simmba. Ranveer is one of the talented and energetic actors who is currently ruling the industry with some of his clap-worthy performances. After giving a flamboyant performance in Simmba, the actor is out with yet another movie, Gully Boy which is a Zoya Akhtar’s directorial. Within just six days, Gully Boy crosses over 80 crores.
Well, Ranveer has often revealed that wife Deepika Padukone is the reason behind his immense success as she kept him grounded for all these years. But somehow it was Ranbir Kapoor who actually gave it all Ranveer Singh’s hand and luckily all those opportunities went right with Ranveer.
Recently, Zoya Akhtar has revealed that her first choice for Gully Boy was Ranbir Kapoor and also offered him the role of a street rapper which is now essayed by Ranveer Singh. But Ranbir rejected the role as he was busy with Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju.
Earlier it was also being reported that Zoya had approached Ranbir for Dil Dhadakne Do opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan but things didn’t work out and Ranveer was eventually given the role.
Moreover, Ranbir was also offered Ram-Leela along with Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. But Kapoor refused all the roles as he had decided not to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali post his debut film Saawariya. And gradually, it was Ranveer Singh who grabbed all the opportunities to work in such big films. All the three movies helped him to reach the forefront of all the attention.
A source quoted, “Ranveer is reaping the harvests of Ranbir’s mistakes. The game works both ways. Ranveer overnight lost his role to Ranbir in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. It was a thundering flop. It’s almost like a divine light is guiding Ranveer to make all the right moves.”
While Ranbir may regret his decision of refusing these films, but it has definitely helped Ranveer Singh to explore himself and become the most known celebrity of the current generation of history.
