Deepika Padukone has recently gone down the Ranveer Singh route by choosing some unique outfits that only she can pull off. The actress always stands out as she makes appearances at red or green carpets worth remembering. She has been making headlines after walking down the green carpet at IIFA awards in a Gaurav Gupta couture.
As the designer himself said, Deepika donned ‘An Electric Violet Gown with dramatic sleeves and a gossamer tulle hood, complemented with a soft feather tail.’ He also added that the colour violet represented stained glass windows that reflect a blend of Lavender and Amarnath purple hues, just like when the sun sets.

While many would like entirely agree with the taste of Deepika, pointing out that since marrying Ranveer Singh, she has developed a unique taste of dressing herself, which she possibly inherited from her husband. Speaking of Ranveer, the actor too made a stunning appearance at the event, grabbing headlines for all the right reasons.
The actor was nominated for the best actor and he won the accolade for his villainous portrayal of Alauddin Khilji. Ranveer and Deepika’s film Padmaavat was nominated in as many as ten categories. To celebrate 20 years of the IIFA Awards, special awards were also given out with Deepika Padukone winning the Special Award for Best Actress for Chennai Express.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika recently returned to India after completing the shooting sequence for ’83 alongside Ranveer. The movie is directed by Kabir Khan and is based on the life of Kapil Dev and team India’s heroics at the 1983 World Cup. Deepika is also gearing up for the release of Chhapaak which is a real-life story of an acid attack survivor.
