Deepika Padukone will be seen both as an actor and producer in her next project

The queen of B-town and everybody’s favorite Deepika is back after the sabbatical of a few months. Yes, you all heard it right! But this time with a surprise as the lady will now follow up the line of producers. Deepika is the most versatile actress among the celebs and is the choice of many filmmakers. Her last movie was Padmaavat which released in January this year, where she received huge appreciation.

As per the reports, Deepika’s next film will be with the latest being Meghna Gulzar’s directorial who directed the movie Raazi which did well in the Box-Ofice Collection. Reports are that the Deepika is not only acting but also producing the movie, the movie is still untitled but its story is based on the real-life of Laxmi Agarwal who was at her very tender age of 15 faced a huge problem in her life.

On the other note, when the director was asked about opting Deepika for the role, she said, “When you take a face as beautiful as hers and portray her as an acid attack survivor, the magnitude of the violence and damage is that much more resounding.”‘

In an interview, while talking about the project Deepika shared with MM, “When I heard this story, I was deeply moved as it’s not just one of violence but of strength and courage, hope and victory. It made such an impact on me, that personally and creatively, I needed to go beyond and so the decision to turn producer.”

Laxmi is a real-life character who had seen a lot worse in her life still she decided not to stop but to compete against the bad person, her faith and courage made the Supreme Court go against the man and he was punished by the courts’ decision. Laxmi also established an NGO Chhanv Foundation for such survivors and also opened a cafe which is helmed by the team.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will also be seen playing a special role in Telugu romantic movie Love 4 Ever directed by Jayanth C Paranji.
