Deepika Padukone’s father Prakash Padukone, tests positive for COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the health of lakhs of Indians! The Padmaavat actress, Deepika Padukone’s father, and former badminton player, Prakash Padukone has also tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted to a hospital in Bangalore. The infamous badminton player was ranked as World No 1 in 1980 and was honoured with the Arjuna award in 1972 and the Padma Shri award in 1982.

The Bajirao Mastani actress’s sister, Anisha Padukone, and mother, Ujjala Padukone too, have tested positive. According to a close family friend, “They got themselves isolated but after a week Prakash’s fever didn’t come down.”

As of now, Deepika has not given any statements regarding her family’s health status.
