Deepika Padukone likely to star opposite Aamir Khan in Mogul

Yesterday, it was reported that Aamir is back on the board to co-produce the Gulshan Kumar biopic ‘Mogul’. And if everything runs well them he might star in the film too.

But now the big news is that Deepika Padukone might be seen opposite Aamir in the movie. Deepika, who has recently announced about her wedding and already getting a lot of wishes on social platforms might be playing a part in Mogul. Earlier, Deepika was spotted exiting Aamir’s residence which hinted us for their first project together.

A source has revealed, “Aamir, who is co-producing the biopic of T-Series founder, Gulshan Kumar, titled ‘Mogul’, has approached Deepika Padukone to play the female lead in the film.”

The duo is indeed coming together for the first time but not as a pair. The actress has considered the script but has not signed it officially yet but it is very likely to happen. However, no confirmation regarding the same has been made now.

Earlier, Aamir distanced himself from the Gulshan Kumar biopic. The major reason behind this was the commencement of the entire saga of the Me Too Movement. Soon the movement was followed by a series of the revelation of some disgusting episodes started where several actresses blamed some big names in the industry including Sajid Khan, Subhash Kapoor, Vikas Bahl, Anu Malik, Luv Ranjan, and Kailash Kher.

Looking forward to the situation Aamir Khan decided to withdraw his support from the project that is any way related to the responsible. Earlier, he backed out from the project due to the director Subhash Kapoor who was held responsible for the misconduct. But soon after Subhash Kapoor ‘s exit from the project, he returned as the co-producer of the film.

After Subhash Kapoor’s exit, the makers of the film have not announced the new director and it seems like the hunt for the lead star. Earlier Akshay Kumar was decided to play the titular character but he walked out in the pre-production stage. Meanwhile, the movie is slated to set the box-office in 2019.
