Actor Dhanush and his father, Kasthoori Raja, have served a court notice on a couple living in Madurai who has said that the South Indian celebrity is their “biological” son. Dhanush is one of the most successful actors in South India.
They have urged the pair to cease making “specious” statements against Dhanush in the notice, which the duo has given via their lawyer, Advocate S Haja Mohideen Gisthi. The letter was issued to the couple.
My clients are asking you both to refrain from making false, unsubstantiated, and defamatory charges against them from this point forward, as they have asked me to do so on their behalf. In the event that compliance is not met, my clients will be forced to approach the competent courts in order to protect their rights in this regard and to prevent you from continuing to make such false, untenable, and defamatory allegations against them. Additionally, both of you will be prosecuted for causing defamation and, as a result, the loss of your reputation, “it stated in the notice.”
Dhanush and his father have requested that they publish a public statement apologizing for making such charges and claiming that all of the allegations that they have made are untrue. In addition, they have been asked to declare that all of the allegations that they have made are false. In the event that they fail to do so, the notice states that they would be subject to defamation litigation that seeks compensation for the loss of reputation in the amount of Rs 10 crores.
