On December 18, Narendra Modi assembled a meeting with Bollywood actors and producers at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. The meeting was held to discuss the matters that are concerned with the film industry. The meeting was a fruitful interaction to discuss the major issues happening in the industry.

On the other hand, a lot of actresses were angry as there were no women who were part of the delegation. Dia Mirza has banged Akshay Kumar for being a part of an all-men meeting. She also took this matter to Twitter to share her dissatisfaction over the all-men meeting. Dia feels that gender equality can only be achieved if women must be part of all conversations.

Akshay wrote on Twitter, “Heartfelt thank you to the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking out time to hear us at length, discuss issues pertaining to our industry and assuring positive consideration of suggestion.”

Quoting Akshay Kumar’s tweet, Dia wrote, “This is wonderful. Is there a reason why there were no women in this room..”

In another tweet, she questioned and wrote, “How can an entire industry be represented by men.”

Later, when a social media user questioned Dia about why everything has become about competition between men and women, she replied by saying, “It’s not about competition. It’s such a fundamental . thingIf we hope to achieve equality we must be included in all conversations. Of course, women are doing well. We are doing well despite the fact that we are excluded. And doesn’t that need to change?.”

According to a report by PTI, producers Ritesh Sifhwani, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, Ronnie Screwwala, Prasoon Joshi, the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the President of the Film Producers Guild were part of the exclusive meeting. And the actors included Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.

Well, it would be wrong to directly point on the actors, directors, and producers who attended the meeting as it wasn’t sure who had sent out the invite lists. Some people are also questioning PM Modi for the same, however, it would be wrong to impose allegations on anyone without checking the facts. Nothing has been clear so far, but let’s wait for the concerned person to give a clarification on the same.

We wonder what Akshay Kumar will have to say on Dia’s tweet! Let’s wait and watch!
