The legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to a city hospital in the intensive care unit (ICU) following the complaints of breathlessness as a “precautionary measure”. According to the hospital sources, he was discharged from the hospital ten days before.
They added that the 98 year old actor was taken to the suburban Khar-based Hinduja Hospital yesterday to a non COVID-19 facility getting admitted to the medical facility and is doing fine.
The hospital insider told that “he was admitted yesterday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him”.
The screen icon, Dilip Kumar was earlier admitted to the same hospital due to the complaints of breathlessness on June 6.
Dilip Kumar’s film career spans over around five decades. His hit films include ‘Devdas’ along with Suchitra Sen, Vyjayanthimala and Motilal, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Naya Daur’ and ‘Ram Aur Shyam’. He made his last big screen appearance in the movie ‘Qila’ which was released in 1998 sharing the screen with Rekha, Gulshan Grover and Mukul Dev. It was directed by Umesh Mehra.
