The independent and highly-acclaimed film Manto, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as legendary writer Saadat Hasan Manto, which was about to release yesterday competing with Batti Chalu Meter Gul does not get its release because of some technical reasons.

However, much to the surprise of director Nandita Das, the morning screening was canceled on the first day of its release, which shattered her. PVR cinemas had to cancel the shows, due to a technical glitch and problems.

Nandita wrote on Twitter, “Very disappointed. It was 6 years of work and many people’s collective determination and resolution was to find its zenith this morning.I am assured by @Viacom18Movies it will be fixed at noon today. Please let us know if it has not been. Spreading #Mantoiyat will not stop.”

Manto morning screenings were cancelled.

It’s such a heart touching film that will make you think, hurt you and will bring you back to your ideas and thoughts. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has made himself so indulge and deep down into the role of Manto where we can see him with unparallel energy, wit, and persona. Far away from the role of Wasseypur, he has been transformed into a writer who has lost everything between the unowned land.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has proved himself as a versatile actor with a regular consistency and he has done movies like Manjhi, Raees, Bajrangi Bhaijan and many unforgettable roles he played, the dark man again hits up the screen with yet another sensational role in Manto which is Indian biographical drama film about the famous Urdu author Saadat Hasan Manto, written and directed by Nandita Das.

We wish Nandita along with her team a very good luck and want that the film should recover all the losses which occurred due to the technical glitch. Well, now the movie is gaining rise in the remuneration and we wish the count to go up.
