ED summons Rakul Preet Singh, Ravi Teja, Rana Daggubati and more Tollywood celebrities in a 2017 drug case

A case of 2017 drug case turns as the trouble for some big film celebrities. In a shocking turns of developments, Enforcement Directorate summons popular Tollywood celebrities in a four year old case. Scroll down to know the whole story.

A report in India Today states that ED who is investigating the money laudering angle in 2017 drug case has summoned tollywood actors which includes Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja along with Film producer Puri Jagannath and Charmee Kaur. It is being said that the celebrities have been summoned as witnesses in the case. The report also mentioned the respective dates on which these celebs have to be present before the agency. Rakul Preet Singh has been summoned on 6th September. Virata Parvam actor Rana has been asked to make an appearance on 8th September. Krack actor Ravi Teja has been summoned on 9th September. Whereas Liger director and producer Puri Jagannadh has been summoned on 31st August. Charmme Kaur, who is also producing Liger, has also been summoned by the agency, the report states.

As of now, the SIT team hasn’t filed any chargesheet against any of the tollywood celebrities and the agency also have not clarified the involvement of celebs in drug case. For a beginner, a south african national, Rafael Alex Victor, was arrested by the SIT in 2017 for allegedly supplying Cocaine from Mumbai to Hyderabad.  The team then collected hair and nail samples of 62 suspects including Tollywood celebs.
