Ekta Kapoor is bringing back the sequel of her hit television show Kasautii Zindagi Kay. A recent report of Hindustan Times quoted Shweta Tiwari who played Prerna in the show saying that her teenage daughter Palak was offered her role in the sequel but she turned it down. However, Ekta Kapoor took to Twitter and denied any such report. Taking a dig, she wrote, “Aaah reaaaaaly?????????? How come I don’t know.”

And now, Spotboye got in touch with Ekta Kapoor to clear the whole matter. On being asked about Shweta Tiwari’s claims, she replied, “Main unke liye kaise bol sakti hoon? I don’t want to discuss it. Mujhe react hi nahi karna chahiye tha. She is very pretty and whenever she is ready, will definitely consider her.”(How can I say about her? I don’t want to discuss it. I shouldn’t have reacted.)
Later, Shweta Tiwari also came forward to clarify that it was not Ekta but someone from her team, that is, Balaji Telefilms who had considered Palak for the show. The team asked her if she would be open to letting her daughter do the role. However, the mother-daughter duo later refused it since Palak is still studying and wants to concentrate on the same instead of indulging herself in long working hours.
Talking about her daughter Palak, Shweta once said, “I never force anything on her or tell her what to do. She’s a very intelligent girl. She wants to be an actress; she has already decided that if she will do anything in her life then it will be related to this industry. But, she’s the one who takes her own call and says no or yes to projects.”
Kasautii Zindagi Kay will star Erica Fernades as Prerna Sharma, Paarth Samthaan as Anurag Basu and Hina Khan as Komolika. The show is scheduled to premiere on 25 September 2018 on Star Plus.
